Q: What items can be donated to ESM?
A: Non-perishable food including baby food and formula, clean clothing, coats, shoes, belts, purses, underwear, socks, backpacks, etc. Also, school uniform items, school supplies, personal hygiene items (toothpaste, soap, razors, shampoo, etc.) and baby diapers, adult diapers, toilet paper, and powdered laundry soap. We also need bedding including sheets, towels, blankets, etc. of all sizes.

Q: When and where may I deliver my donations?
A: During our office hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Monday through Friday at 5929 E. Lancaster Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76112. It is 1/4 mile off Loop 820 going west, on the NW corner of Putnam and East Lancaster.

Q: Are there items that ESM cannot accept?
A: We do not have space for furniture, mattresses, appliances, and other household items. We also do not need computer equipment, office furniture or office equipment.

Q:  How can I volunteer my time at ESM?
A: Volunteers are asked to call the Director at 817-446-3278 and schedule a time to visit the site, sign volunteer forms, and set their volunteer work schedule. Go to the Volunteer page for more details

Q: Are there other ways to help ESM help others?
A: Yes.  Your monetary donations help us help others. We are a non-profit agency and can provide a tax receipt for donations. Send donations to ESM, 5929 E Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76112 .  Click here for more information

Q: What kind of help can we receive from ESM?

A: Food and Clothing

Q: Who can receive aid from ESM?
A: Needy families, the elderly, handicapped and homeless persons that live in zip codes 76103, 76112, and 76120.

Q: Can we get services from ESM if we live outside the zip codes served?
A: We make referrals to food pantries serving other areas; however, we can see families in need one time during the calendar year.

Q: How do we apply for food and clothing services with ESM if we have never been there before?
A: Come to the office of ESM between 9:00 and 11:30 AM, Monday – Friday and fill out a one-page application in order to establish eligibility for receiving services on the same day.

Q: What information do we need to bring to ESM in order to obtain aid?
A: Provide evidence that you live in the zip codes we serve such as a rental or lease agreement.  Also bring proof of income and bills paid, and a picture ID.

Q: Does ESM help families with the payment of rent or utilities?
A: No, we have no funding for these needs.

Q: Where does ESM get the food that is given to clients?
A: We purchase food from the Tarrant Area Food Bank each week at a much reduced price. However, they do not always have a full assortment of items to select, so we rely on donations as well to meet the needs of families.

Q: Does ESM deliver food or clothing to families?
A: No, we do not.

Q: Does ESM pick up donated food or clothing items?
A: Not usually. The donation has to be a significant amount (i.e. 1,000+ lbs.)
