Services
Clients must meet certain financial parameters to be served by ESM. To those who qualify, ESM provides food and clothing. 
Hygiene items are provided if available. We also have annual school programs and holiday food programs for existing clients. Referrals for other types of aid are provided if necessary.
Regular Assistance:
There are four categories of clients that ESM serves monthly:
Basic – These clients are in crisis or have an emergency situation. They must live in the eligible zip code areas and fall within the financial parameters required. Services can be provided up to four times per year for food and up to 3 sets of clothing per family member. Referrals for other needs are provided.
Supplemental – These clients are the elderly and disabled who fall within the financial guidelines and live in the eligible zip code areas. Supplemental clients may receive food once per month throughout the year and are eligible for 3 sets of clothing up to four times per year. Referrals for other needs are provided.
Homeless – When homeless persons come to ESM, we give them a small sack of non-perishable foods usually with pull-top lids. These persons are eligible for the small bag of food and clothing once per month up to 4 times per year and may receive hygiene items as available. Referrals are also made as needed.
One-time Aid – When families are in crisis or emergency situations and do not live in the ESM zip code areas, they may apply and receive services one time only. They must fall within the financial requirements of ESM. We provide them with food and clothing and also a referral to the food pantry agency closest to their residence.
Special Annual Services for Clients:
Back to School programs each Summer:
School uniforms - Each summer before school starts ESM provides school clothing as prescribed by the Fort worth Independent School District. We offer school-age children two uniforms each year. We are able to purchase new shirts at reduced prices. The skirts and pants are obtained from donations received throughout the year.
School supplies - ESM serves as a sign-up location for the Back to School Round-Up for elementary children and provides school supplies for older students. This service is available because each summer before school starts, our church partners and others in the community donate the items.
Holiday Food Programs in November or December
For Thanksgiving OR Christmas ESM provides a sack of holiday food and one meat item for families who are already receiving services and on file at ESM. Our member churches/agencies donate the sacks of food, and ESM purchases the meats (hams, chickens, and turkeys).
