How is ESM supported?
Financially, ESM is supported by member churches/organizations, as well as other churches and organizations, businesses and Individuals.
We operate on a very small budget and rely mostly on member churches/organizations, individuals and businesses. ESM receives about 20% of its income from grants and from fundraisers held by member churches and local businesses and organizations.
Food, clothing, hygiene items, school supplies and special holiday foods are donated by member churches and individuals in the community Additional food is purchased from the Tarrant Area Food Bank at a minimal cost. Since TAFB does not always have the assortment of food needed to serve our clients, food donations are still needed. The director provides a list of items in short supply to member churches.
Volunteers assist in the office, clothing area and food pantry. There are only three employees so volunteer help is necessary.
